제네시스 최초의 컨버터블 컨셉카, 대한민국 헤리티지를 담은 컬러 주목

2023 모빌리티쇼에서 국내 첫 공개된 제네시스 X 컨버터블은 제네시스가 작년 11월 미국 캘리포니아주 말리부에서 ‘X 콘셉트 시리즈’ 세 번째 모델이자 브랜드 최초의 컨버터블 콘셉트로 공개한 차다.  제네시스는 엑스 컨버터블의 내외장에 한국적인 미와 정서를 담은 색상을 사용했다. 제네시스가 대한민국 최초이자 유일한 프리미엄 자동차 브랜드인데다가 전 세계에서 한국이 가지는 소프트파워가 막강하다는 것이 영향을 끼쳤던 것으로 알려졌다. 글로벌 시장에서 제네시스가 럭셔리 브랜드로 자리잡는 계기가 될 수 있을지 주목되고 있다. 이러한 브랜드 아이덴티티를 살려, 실내는 한국 전통 가옥의 지붕에서 영감을 얻은 유림의 ‘단청 오렌지’ 색상을 적용했다. 

Genesis' first convertible concept car, spotlighting colors embodying Korean heritage

The Genesis X Convertible, unveiled for the first time in Korea at the 2023 Mobility Show, is a car that Genesis revealed last November in Malibu, California, USA, as the third model in the 'X Concept Series' and the brand's first-ever convertible concept. Genesis used colors embodying Korean beauty and sentiment for the interior and exterior of the X Convertible. It is known that this was influenced by the fact that Genesis is South Korea's first and only premium automotive brand, alongside the powerful soft power that Korea holds across the globe. Attention is being focused on whether this will serve as an opportunity for Genesis to establish itself as a luxury brand in the global market. Utilizing this brand identity, the interior applied YOOLIM's 'Dancheong Orange' color, which was inspired by the roofs of traditional Korean houses.
